DOES THE QURAN SAY THAT THE EARTH IS FLAT?

Question

Qur’an says that Allah has made the earth for you as a carpet. This gives an indication that the earth is flat. Does this not contradict established modern science?

The question refers to a verse from the Qur’an in Surah Nuh:

"And Allah has made the earth for you as a carpet (spread out)."

Just now i saw the CD of Gujarath Terror. i think no one will imagine to kill a human being like that even if he's a proffessional killer. Burnt man and women, childrens, raped childrens, girls, womans aged more than 40 and unthinkable of rapping so many PREGNANT LADIES. Any human will start crying after seeing those scenes.
