ISLAM NEEDS YOU BROTHER!!

O you who believe! If you help (in the cause of) Allah, He will help you and make your foothold firm.

[Al-Quran - 047:007]

Khalid and the tall boy glared at each other. Slowly they began to move in a circle, the gaze of each fixed intently upon the other, each looking for an opening for his attack and each wary of the tricks that the other might use. There was no hostility in their eyes-just a keen rivalry and an unshakeable determination to win. And Khalid found it necessary to be cautious, for the tall boy was left-handed and thus enjoyed the advantage that all left-handers have over their opponents in a fight.

Wrestling was a popular pastime among the boys of Arabia, and they frequently fought each

other. There was no malice in these fights. It was a sport, and boys were trained in wrestling as one of the requirements of Arab manhood. But these two boys were the strongest of all and the leaders of boys of their age. This match was, so to speak, a fight for the heavy-weight title. The boys were well matched. Of about the same age, they were in their early teens.

Both were tall and lean and newly formed muscles rippled on their shoulders and arms as their sweating bodies glistened in the sun. The tall boy was perhaps an inch taller than Khalid. And their faces were so alike that one was often mistaken for the other.

Khalid threw the tall boy; but this was no ordinary fall. As the tall boy fell there was a distinct crack, and a moment later the grotesquely twisted shape of his leg showed that the bone had broken. The stricken boy lay motionless on the ground, and Khalid stared in horror at the broken leg of his friend and nephew. (The tall boy's mother, Hantamah bint Hisham bin Al Mugheerah, was Khalid's first cousin.)

In course of time the injury healed and the leg of the tall boy became whole and strong again. He would wrestle again and be among the best of wrestlers. And the two boys would remain friends. But while they were intelligent, strong and forceful by nature, neither had patience or tact. They were to continue to compete with each other in almost everything that they did.

The reader should make a mental note of these tall boys for they played an important role in the history of Islam. They were Umar bin Al-khattab and Khalid Bin Waleed.

At time of Jahiliyyah (Ignorance) they lived as common polytheists sticking to their tribesmen’s customs and practices.

During there young ages when Islam’s radiance was spreading through out Makkah they became the ferocious enemies of Islam and its followers.

But once when they embraced Islam by accepting its truthfulness, their real personalities came out of there souls and they showed the whole world the actual meaning of intelligence, truthfulness, simplicity, bravery and valor.

The thing which molded their personalities and brought the pearls of characteristic marvel from them was Islam.

These brave youths stood as a strong shield for the believers against the cruel kuffar, Mushrikeen-e-Makkah, and the other enemies of Islam.

Their forceful nature became a challenge for Mushrikeen-e-Makkah whom once tortured the weak believers mercilessly for only one reason that they say Allah is one.

Because of Umar bin Al-khattab RA the voice of Islam was raised in the streets of Makkah when once the work of dawah was going on silently fearing that the message will be exposed to the cruel Mushrikeen-e-Makkah and the believers would have to pay a painful price for this daring act.

When our Prophet Sallalahu Alihi wa sallam prayed for Umar (RA) to give strength to Islam with his acceptance of the true religion, his Dua was accepted by Allah and thus Umar (RA) became a devout Muslim and got many titles of honor.

Even though he wished to kill the prophet Sallalahu Alihi wa sallam, he came to add strength and power to Islam and its believers.

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle said, "Among the Nations before you there used to be people who ere inspired ( though they were not prophets) . And if there is any of such a persons amongst my followers, it is 'Umar."

[Sahih Al-Bukhari]

And Khalid Bin Waleed RA, he once fought a battle against the believer’s army and uprooted them in Uhud battle, after then he was also inspired by the truthfulness of Islam which made him to embrace Islam one day in the City of Prophet Al-Medina.

Acceptance of this man added strength and valor to Islam and its believers.

Soon after he was named as the Sword of Allah by Prophet Sallalahu Alihi wa sallam himself when he showed his bravery and tactics in the Battle of Muta.

Khalid Khalid Bin Waleed RA took the flag of Islam and marched his army to all over the Arabia to punish and execute the Murthadeen (People who leave Islam after embracing it) and enemies of Islam like false prophets.

Then this Sword of Allah struck the Persian and Byzantium kingdoms with a strongest blow and the flag of Islam was hoisted in Irag, Syria etc etc.

Also when one time when our beloved prophet Sallalahu Alihi wa sallam went to Taif for a dawah mission and called their people to embrace Islam he was accompanied by a youth called Zaid bin Harith RA.

This youth stood as a consoling and serving shield to the prophet Sallalahu Alihi wa sallam in his mission to Taif. And when the people of Taif rejected his call to Islam and did hostile behavior with our beloved prophet this youth stood behind him, served him in his agony and consoled his every breath of distress.

And mahsallah! Abu Huraira RA a familiar name in the history of Islam, were his name is mentioned In all speeches and lectures, in Friday khutbahs and seminars, in the books of Hadith and sirah, fiqh and ibadah.

The name Abu Hurayrah is mentioned in. this fashion: "On the authority of Abu Hurayrah, may God be pleased with him who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said... ".

Through his Prodigious efforts, hundreds of Ahadith or sayings of the Prophet were transmitted to later generations. His is the foremost name in the roll of hadith transmitters.

Abu Hurayrah belonged to a pagan tribe called Ad-Daws and his former name was “Abdu Shams - Servant of a Sun," which was then he was renamed as Abdur-Rahman with an advise given by Prophet Sallahu Alihi wa sallam.

Abu Hurayrah loved the Prophet a great deal and found favor with him. He was never tired of looking at the Prophet whose face appeared to him as having all the radiance of the sun and he was never tired of listening to him. Often he would praise God for his good fortune and say: "Praise be to God Who has guided Abu Hurayrah to Islam." Praise be to God Who has taught Abu Hurayrah the Quran."

He had free time at his disposal. Unlike many of the Muhajirin he did not busy himself' in the market-places, with buying and selling. Unlike many of the Ansar, he had neither land to cultivate nor crops to tend. He stayed with the Prophet in Madinah and went with him on journeys and expeditions.

Many companions were amazed at the number of hadith he had memorized and often questioned him on when he had heard a certain hadith and under what circumstances.

When people were to be busy with their daily business in markets and public places Abu Huraira will be with his beloved friend Rasullullah Sallahu Alahi wa Sallam, asking about the commandments of religion and memorizing the sayings of the prophet (SAW).

He would never eat to his full and sometimes would starve as he had no provision to inherit from it nor he had any possessions. He never had a passion to earn duniya and live a well furnished life but his wishes were to gain the knowledge of Islam and memorize Ahadiths as much as possible in his lifetime.

This great service of Abu Huraira RA lead us to obtain numerous precious Ahadiths which has become for us a great source of reference to learn and to know about the life of prophet Sallahu Alihi wa Sallam and his commandments.

And the list of the devout youths goes on!!!!!

Even today in our Islamic Ummah there are many youths in whom there hidden personalities like Umar bin Al-khattab RA, Khalid Bin Waleed RA, Zaid bin Harith RA, Abu Huraira RA and Islam is in need of them.

And to bring out the pearls of characteristic marvel from our youths is a matter of realization.

Our youths have to realize this dunya and have to really think seriously about the condition of our Ummah and the trials we face in these times.

Time is really slipping and if we do not submit ourselves to Islam then we will be accountable for the cause.

If they don’t realize the situation they should be reminded by their parents or guardians or even their Allah fearing friends.

Our youths are wasting there time and energy in useless things, there are exhausting there potentials in other worldly matters which will not give benefit to them or the Ummah.

Islam needs you brother !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Islam will take out the precious pearls from your souls if you dedicate your self to Deen and the reward will be eternal paradise inshallah!!!!!!!
